Iran President Calls for Faster Border Engagement with Afghanistan
DID Press: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the need to accelerate Iran’s border interactions with Afghanistan, saying many issues can be addressed through closer and more efficient engagement.

Speaking in a televised interview about the government’s plans to improve and speed up border cooperation with Afghanistan, Pezeshkian said that meeting these needs is both feasible and achievable.
He also highlighted the role of local officials in advancing the process, noting that provincial governors, within their legal authority, can help expedite border cooperation through seminars, exchanges and visits to different provinces.
Pezeshkian stressed that empowering local administrations will play a key role in strengthening cross-border coordination and practical cooperation between the two countries.
