DID Press: US Department of Justice (DOJ) removed at least 16 files from its public website without explanation, sparking widespread speculation, less than 24 hours after publishing documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The deleted materials included photos and artwork from Epstein’s properties, among them an image reportedly showing President Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell. DOJ did not clarify the reason for the removal, stating only that the materials were “under review and editing in accordance with the law.”
Democratic lawmakers expressed concern over transparency, while analysts note that the released documents, though extensive, provide limited new information on Epstein’s alleged crimes or long-standing DOJ decisions. Notably, FBI interviews with victims and internal notes on prosecutorial choices remain largely absent.
While some new details emerge—such as decisions to halt investigations in the 2000s and a 1996 complaint against Epstein for child photo theft—most of the public files consist of images of Epstein’s New York and Virgin Islands properties and photos of prominent figures. US President Trump and ex-president Clinton, both pictured in some images, deny wrongdoing and have not faced criminal charges related to Epstein.
