DID Press: Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s FM, emphasized that Tehran stands fully prepared and vigilant against any potential threat, highlighting that the experience of the recent 12-day war has demonstrated that any attack on Iran would fail. While underscoring the priority of diplomacy, Araghchi stressed that defensive readiness remains the most effective tool for preventing conflict.

In a recent interview with RT, Araghchi referred to possible military threats against Iran, stating: “Iran does not seek war, but it is fully prepared, even more so than before, to defend its national security and interests. The best way to prevent war is to be ready for it.”
He highlighted the reconstruction of Iran’s capabilities following the 12-day war, asserting: “What was damaged in that conflict has now been restored, and any new attack would repeat the failures experienced by the aggressors before.” Araghchi reiterated that Iran always prioritizes diplomacy and negotiation to resolve disputes, and its defensive preparedness is solely intended to safeguard national security.
Araghchi further noted the role of psychological warfare, saying: “Enemies attempt to influence public opinion through psychological operations, but we have anticipated all scenarios, and our security forces have made necessary assessments to ensure that national decisions reflect the country’s security and interests of the people.”
These remarks come amid reports in foreign media concerning Iran’s missile and nuclear programs. The Foreign Minister emphasized that past experiences have proven the failure of adversaries, stating: “The United States and Israel know that repeating previous actions will only yield the same failed results.”
Concluding his statements, Araghchi said that Iran’s defensive preparedness sends a clear message to potential adversaries: “We will protect our security and territorial integrity, and any threat against our country will be met with decisive response.”
