Israel Approves 19 New Settlements in West Bank
DID Press: Israeli security cabinet has approved a plan to construct 19 new settlements in the occupied West Bank, once again triggering a wave of international reactions.

According to international media reports, the Israeli security cabinet has approved the establishment of 19 new Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.
Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s Finance Minister, said the purpose of the move is to prevent the formation of an independent Palestinian state.
Settlement expansion in the occupied territories is considered illegal under international law and has been condemned by countries including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
UN Secretary-General has also warned of the potential consequences of such action.
