Habi: $3.8B Aid to Israel Yields 12-Fold Return for US
DID Press: Mike Habi, US ambassador to Israel, said Washington’s $3.8 billion aid to Tel Aviv not only benefits Israel but also generates significant returns for the United States.

“Many Americans ask what we do for Israel, but in reality, this amount is not large compared to the overall U.S. federal budget. The entire sum is spent on purchasing military equipment and technology produced in the U.S., which effectively returns immediately,” He added.
Habi emphasized that the main benefit for the U.S. in this cooperation lies in access to research and development (R&D) advantages—benefits that would likely be unattainable without this investment—with a potential return on investment of up to 1,200 percent.
Even U.S. support for Israel is fundamentally based on profit and trade-driven considerations.
