Sirajuddin Haqqani Emphasizes Resolving Tensions Through Dialogue
DID Press: Sirajuddin Haqqani, Interior Minister of the Taliban government, said Afghanistan poses no threat to any country or region and is ready to resolve misunderstandings through dialogue, In what appears to be an effort to ease tensions with Pakistan.

He underlined that doors are open for negotiations.Haqqani made these remarks on Friday during a graduation ceremony at the Kabul Police Academy. He reaffirmed that the government remains committed to its obligations under the Doha Agreement and will not allow Afghanistan territory to be used against any country.Without directly naming Pakistan, the Interior Minister said the Taliban leadership seeks reasonable and sustainable solutions to end mistrust and misunderstandings with the international community. “The doors for negotiations to resolve existing issues are not closed,” he added.
Political analysts believe Haqqani’s comments indirectly respond to Pakistan’s longstanding request for Kabul to rein in the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which Islamabad holds responsible for much of the recent insecurity along the border regions.Relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have deteriorated following recent border clashes, leading to the closure of border crossings since October 11, 2025, a situation with significant economic and security implications for both sides.
