DID Press: Russia’s deputy foreign minister, Alexander Grushko, has warned European countries and NATO are preparing for a military confrontation with Russia, citing what he described as increasingly aggressive actions and rhetoric by Western states.

Speaking to reporters, Grushko said Moscow will use all available means to safeguard its national security in response to what it views as hostile Western policies.
Referring to the positions and public statements of European Union and NATO officials, Grushko said their defense posture and strategic direction are effectively pushing the situation toward military conflict. “Unfortunately, this is the reality,” he said, adding that, as President Vladimir Putin said, Russia is prepared for any scenario.
Grushko also said measures are underway to maintain Russia’s “full defensive capability and ensure the country’s security under all circumstances,” underscoring what he described as growing security concerns in Moscow over Western military activities.
