Haqqani: Afghanistan Seeking Constructive Ties with All Countries
DID Press: Acting Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani said that Afghanistan wants constructive relations with all countries and will not allow its territory to be used to threaten others.

Haqqani, emphasizing what he described as the Taliban’s “engagement-oriented” approach, said the Taliban government does not seek tensions with any state and believes foreign relations should be based on mutual respect. At the same time, he underlined that defending Afghanistan’s territorial integrity remains a fundamental right.
He added that the Taliban remains committed to the Doha Agreement and will not permit any group to use Afghan soil against neighboring or regional countries. While some states continue to raise concerns about militant activity in Afghanistan, Haqqani insisted that the Taliban is honoring its commitments.
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, welcomed Haqqani’s remarks, saying, “This is exactly what we want.” He also noted that the United Nations’ humanitarian aid corridor through Pakistan remains open and will continue to operate.
