Iran’s IRGC: Soleimani’s Legacy Undermined US-Led Regional Order

DID Press: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement marking the anniversary of the Martyrdom of Qassem Soleimani that the erosion of the global “hegemonic system” and the shift in regional power dynamics are the outcome of the late commander’s enduring role and the actions of the “Resistance Axis.”

Released on the anniversary of Soleimani’s death and coinciding with the birth anniversary of Imam Ali, the statement argued that recent developments across the Middle East, including the perceived decline in the influence of external power structures, represent part of Soleimani’s strategic legacy.

According to the IRGC, Soleimani’s efforts altered the regional balance of power and accelerated the weakening of the security and political order favored by extra-regional powers. The statement added that U.S. strike that Martyred him failed to halt his influence or the trajectory he helped shape.

The IRGC further emphasized Soleimani’s role in building a trans-regional resistance network, asserting that his ideas and approach continue to shape political and security dynamics across the region.
