US Anti-War Groups Rally against “Oil War” on Venezuela
DID Press: US anti-war organizations issued an urgent call for nationwide protests in response to escalating tensions and what they describe as “America’s war against Venezuela.” The ANSWER coalition announced that the demonstrations aim to denounce recent U.S. actions in the region.

“This war is not about drugs; it is not about democracy. It is about looting Venezuela’s oil and asserting dominance over Latin America,” the coalition underlined in the statement.
The statement condemned recent operations as “a brutal escalation of a campaign of killings in international waters and piracy targeting civilian vessels trading with Venezuela.”
ANSWER urged Americans to take to the streets to oppose “another endless war,” noting that the U.S. public does not want further military conflicts.
According to the organization, within the first hour of the announcement, 13 U.S. cities were already scheduled to host protest gatherings, including a demonstration at the White House at 1 p.m. Additional cities are expected to be announced soon.
