Mullah Baradar: Afghanistan Has Entered New Phase of Political Stability

DID Press: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Taliban’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, says Afghanistan has entered what he described as an unprecedented phase of political stability, claiming that all opposition and threatening groups in the country have been eliminated and that the current system is being governed more securely than in the past.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony at a religious school in Kandahar, Baradar said the Taliban have unified the country’s political structure over the past four years and prevented the emergence of parallel power centers. According to him, national decisions are now taken without challenges from rival factions.

Baradar further asserted that political participation has strengthened under Taliban rule and stressed that the government remains committed to this principle. He described the current political and economic situation as a “major opportunity,” warning that no one should turn it into a threat.

He also called on regional and international partners to engage with the Taliban within the framework of regional cooperation and to support Afghanistan on its path toward stability and development.
