Mass Protests in Venezuela against US Actions: “Free Maduro”
DID Press: Thousands of Venezuelan citizens and supporters of the government rallied in central Caracas on Sunday, calling for the release of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

Participants, who identified themselves as supporters of the Bolivarian Revolution, gathered in the streets and squares of the capital and urged the U.S. administration to release Maduro and his wife and return them to Venezuela. The protesters also demanded an end to threats against the country.
According to claims made during the rally, government supporters took part in the demonstrations despite difficult security conditions and what they described as “U.S. military attacks on the day prior to the protest,” reaffirming their support for Venezuela’s elected president.
At the same time as the march in Caracas, reports emerged of similar rallies and demonstrations being held in other Venezuela cities.
Organizers say the protests will continue in support of the government and in opposition to external pressure.
