China Tests 6-Ton “Lanying R6000” Tilt-Rotor Drone

DID Press: China conducted the maiden flight of its six-ton “Lanying R6000” tilt-rotor drone, marking a significant step in the development of advanced aviation technology and reducing its reliance on Western systems.

The heavy unmanned aircraft can take off and land vertically like a helicopter and, after climbing, transition to forward flight by rotating its propellers — placing it among long-range, multi-role aerial platforms.

With an operational range of 4,000 kilometers, a service ceiling of 7,620 meters, and a payload capacity of up to two tons, the Lanying has emerged as one of the most capable unmanned systems in its class, suitable for missions ranging from transport to reconnaissance and support operations.
