EU Provides Education Access to 5,250 Children in Afghanistan

DID Press: European Union announced that 5,250 children in Afghanistan have been given the opportunity to return to classrooms.

Under new EU initiatives aimed at improving educational access, children previously excluded from schooling can now participate in community-based educational projects. These programs target remote and vulnerable areas where access to formal schools is extremely limited.

EU officials say the projects aim to shield Afghan children from ongoing economic, social, and security crises while providing pathways to a better future.

However, UNICEF reports indicate that approximately four million Afghan children remain out of school, underscoring the need for broader international support and funding to accelerate education in the country.
