Taliban Cabinet Shake-Up: Key Ministers and Officials Reassigned

DID Press: Taliban, by a new decree from their leader, have carried out significant reshuffles across ministries and key government institutions, appointing new ministers and reassigning senior officials in the sectors of energy, rural development, public works, DABS, and foreign affairs.

Zabiullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban government, announced that several appointments within the administration have been finalized based on the leader’s decree.

Under this order, Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, previously the Minister of Energy and Water, has been appointed Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development. In contrast, Mullah Mohammad Yunus Akhundzada, the former Minister of Rural Development, has been named Minister of Energy and Water.

Additionally, Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, former Deputy of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Public Works, has been appointed as CEO of DABS (Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat).

Furthermore, Qari Mohammadi Yunus Rashid, previously Deputy of Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, has been reassigned as Deputy of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Public Works.

In another change, Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, former CEO of DABS, has been appointed Head of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

These reshuffles are seen as part of the Taliban’s broader administrative reorganization, which has intensified in recent months to strengthen oversight and management of key institutions and resources.
