Afghanistan Closes 84 Private Health Facilities in Kapisa, Kabul Over Violations
DID Press: Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health announced the closure of 84 private health centers and pharmacies in Kapisa and Kabul provinces due to violations of health regulations, price gouging, and operation without qualified personnel.

During the past month, extensive inspections were conducted across private medical facilities in central Kapisa, its districts, and several areas of Kabul city.
According to the ministry, in Kapisa province, 42 pharmacies, 9 medical laboratories, 13 dental clinics, and 2 X-ray rooms were shut down for regulatory violations, overcharging, and lack of professional staff.
In Kabul, 18 pharmacies in Districts 1 and 20 were closed for operating without authorization and engaging in price gouging.
The Ministry of Public Health emphasized that monitoring and regulatory enforcement will continue rigorously to ensure compliance with health standards.
