Red Cross Pledges to Expand Aid Across Afghanistan

DID Press: Katrin Ritz, Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Afghanistan, said during a meeting with Mullah Abdul Latif Mansour, the Taliban’s Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, that the organization plans to expand its humanitarian assistance to all villages and regions of the country.

At the meeting, the Taliban’s Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development stressed the need for the Red Cross to place greater emphasis on implementing infrastructure projects in Afghanistan and called for broader cooperation in development-related sectors.
