DID Press: Jeffrey Sachs, a prominent American economist, warned that any war with Iran would be an extremely risky move with devastating consequences for the United States.
Sachs pointed out that Israel, both under Donald Trump and within the broader framework of U.S. policy, wields significant influence and is undoubtedly seeking military confrontation. He emphasized that Iran, with its 90 million-strong population, extensive missile capabilities, and determined people, is a force to be reckoned with.
Sachs also noted that Trump should heed the advice of countries in the region, as he believes the U.S. president is not clever enough. According to Sachs, Iran is already a powerful country in its own right, and in addition, it has strong allies. He concluded by warning that both the U.S. and Israel are recklessly playing with fire.
