Kabul Denies Involvement in Islamabad Mosque Blast

DID Press: Afghanistan’s Taliban-led Ministry of Defense rejected recent remarks by Pakistan’s defense minister alleging Afghan involvement in a mosque explosion in Islamabad, calling the claims irresponsible, unfounded, and illogical.

In a statement, the ministry said Pakistani officials cannot conceal their own security failures or resolve internal problems by making such accusations. It added that if Pakistan’s security institutions claim they can quickly identify perpetrators after such incidents, the key question is why they failed to prevent or neutralize the attack beforehand.

The statement stressed that the Taliban government adheres to Islamic principles and does not consider the killing or harming of innocent people for political purposes to be permissible, nor does it support those responsible for such unlawful acts.

The Taliban Ministry of Defense further urged Pakistani security officials to stop evading responsibility, carry out their duties properly, review their security policies, and adopt a constructive approach based on positive engagement and cooperation, rather than creating tensions with their own population and neighboring countries.
