Taliban Delegation Off to Indonesia to Boost Anti-Drug Cooperation
DID Press: Eight-member Taliban delegation, led by Haseebullah Ahmadi, Deputy Head of the Interior Ministry’s Counter-Narcotics Office, has departed Kabul for Jakarta, Indonesia, to attend an international conference on anti-drug cooperation.

According to official sources, the delegation includes officials from the Counter-Narcotics Department of the Interior Ministry and representatives from the Ministry of Public Health. During the visit, they will participate in specialized sessions aimed at strengthening international collaboration to combat drug trafficking and improve treatment programs for individuals with addiction.
The trip was organized at the invitation of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Kabul, with funding provided by the government of Japan.
Officials said the delegation’s objectives include exchanging experiences, securing international support, and enhancing Afghanistan’s capacity in preventing and treating addiction.
