Green Garnet Gemstone Mine Discovered in Afghanistan’s Panjshir Province
DID Press: Media office of Panjshir province announced the discovery of a gemstone mine containing green garnets in the village of Abdara in Anaba district.

According to the provincial media office, a professional mining license for the newly identified deposit has been granted to Sayed Rahim.
Authorities in Panjshir emphasized that responsible and regulated exploitation of the mine could play a significant role in economic development and strengthen the province’s mining sector.
Current data indicate that approximately 15,000 people in Panjshir are employed either directly or indirectly in the mining industry. The discovery of new mineral resources has the potential to create additional job opportunities and contribute to local economic growth.
