Former US Officer: Israel Benefits From Collapse of Muslim States

DID Press: A retired US military officer criticized Israel’s regional approach, saying Tel Aviv favors any process that weakens or leads to the collapse of Muslim countries, arguing that greater chaos and division serve Israel’s interests.

Referring to Iran’s internal situation, the former officer said that contrary to widespread perceptions, Iran’s government remains highly stable and Iranian society is not waiting for a US attack. He described Iranian nationalism as a powerful and unifying force.

He also pointed to Washington’s failure to contain Yemeni forces, questioning how confrontation with Iran could be contemplated under such circumstances.

The former officer added that if he were in Iran’s position and his country were attacked by the United States, he would launch what he described as the “mother of all strikes,” targeting Israel and US military bases.
