Trump Calls US Withdrawal from Afghanistan “Embarrassment” Under Biden
DID Press: Donald Trump on Friday sharply criticized the manner of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan under former President Joe Biden, calling it an “embarrassment and humiliating” and arguing his administration would never have left military equipment behind.

Speaking at Fort Bragg in the US state of North Carolina, Trump said: “We were supposed to leave with dignity, strength and respect. Instead, it looked like we were fleeing. We don’t flee from anyone. That humiliation belongs to Biden.”
Referring to US military equipment left in Afghanistan, he added: “We don’t leave equipment behind. We don’t leave jets behind. All they had to do was put a little jet fuel in there and fly them wherever they wanted.”
Trump also questioned claims that it was cheaper to leave behind some assets, including aircraft he said were worth $150 million each.
The former US president further said the US armed forces had been rebuilt during his first term and are now “the strongest military on Earth.”
The US troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, finalized in 2021 under Biden, remains a central line of attack by Trump and Republicans against the Democratic administration.
