Taliban Consul in Mashhad Meets Afghan Business Community in Iran

DID Press: Taliban’s consulate in Mashhad announced that Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Mutawakkil, the consulate’s head, held a meeting with Afghan traders and economic activists residing in Iran.

During the session, Mawlawi Mutawakkil listened to the challenges and needs of the Afghan business community and emphasized the importance of their economic presence in Iran as well as potential investments in Afghanistan. He assured that the Taliban government supports lawful business activities of Afghan traders and is ready to facilitate their operations.

The consulate also proposed the formation of an advisory council to register, monitor, and coordinate traders’ concerns with the support of the consulate. According to the consulate, this proposal was warmly received by Afghan business representatives in Iran.
