Taliban Offers 2-Year Visas to Employees of Approved Afghan Companies

DID Press: Taliban government announced employees of companies officially approved by the administration will be granted two-year visas as part of ongoing incentives to attract Afghanistan investors back to the country.

A coordination meeting to support returning traders and industrialists was chaired by Taliban Ministry of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi. Cases involving economic activists who returned after several years of working in neighboring countries were reviewed during the session.

Officials said the initiative aims to facilitate legal business operations, support domestic production, and attract investments from the Afghanistan diaspora. Approved investments are concentrated in industrial and manufacturing sectors, including food processing, construction materials, and certain mining activities.

Total registered investments at this stage amount to several million dollars. Companies approved by the specialized committee will benefit from government incentives, including accelerated company registration, customs assistance, and residency visas for their employees.

Ministry representatives expressed hope that stronger regional trade ties and additional incentives will further encourage Afghan investors to return and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
