US Releases List of 300 Celebrities Named in Epstein Files

DID Press: US Department of Justice released a list of more than 300 prominent figures and current or former officials whose names appeared at least once in documents linked to the case of Jeffrey Epstein, in what the U.S. attorney general described as a move toward full transparency.

In a letter to members of the US Congress, Attorney General Pam Bondi said the list includes all former and current officials or politically connected figures whose names were mentioned in materials released by the Justice Department related to the Epstein case.

According to the disclosure, the published names include figures such as Prince Harry, Kim Kardashian, Kurt Cobain and Bruce Springsteen.

The attorney general’s letter stressed that the department released all “records, documents, correspondence and investigative materials” in its possession across nine categories, including human trafficking and concealment of records, and that no material was withheld on grounds of “embarrassment, reputational harm or political sensitivity,” including material related to any government official, public figure or foreign personality.

Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019 by New York state authorities. Prosecutors said they had evidence indicating that between 2002 and 2005 he invited dozens of underage girls—some as young as 14—to his residence in Manhattan.

Epstein’s social and professional circle included current and former U.S. and foreign officials, former heads of state, major business figures and entertainment celebrities, according to case records.

The publication of the list is expected to add new momentum to public and political scrutiny surrounding the long-running and controversial case.
