Over 100,000 Jobs Created in Badakhshan Gold Mining Projects

DID Press: Ministry of Mines and Petroleum announced significant employment opportunities through gold extraction projects in Badakhshan province.

According to the ministry, mining operations across six districts are expected to provide both direct and indirect jobs for over 100,000 people.

In addition, 17 development projects—including the construction of essential bridges and water supply networks—have been launched with a total budget of 223 million Afghanis sourced from contractual social service funds.

Officials said these initiatives not only generate employment but also play a vital role in improving infrastructure, enhancing social services, and promoting sustainable economic growth in the region, paving the way for long-term development in Badakhshan.
