Unknown Drones Fly Over Panjshir, Heightening Security Fears
DID Press: Local sources in Panjshir Province report a sharp increase in unidentified drone flights over the province, raising security concerns among residents in recent days.

According to reports from multiple districts, the drones have been repeatedly seen over Anaba, Shotul, Rokha, Dara, and the provincial capital, Bazarak, suggesting systematic aerial patrols conducted at various times of day and night.
The Taliban authorities have not issued an official response. However, earlier Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, said—without naming any country—that the entry of U.S. drones via neighboring states constituted a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty.
Since the withdrawal of foreign forces in 2021, reports of suspicious aerial activity have increased in several provinces, repeatedly triggering political and security reactions.
