DID Press: Police sources in New Delhi say eight suspects have been arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack in the Indian capital.

According to Indian media, six of the suspects were detained in Tamil Nadu and are being transferred to New Delhi for further questioning. Some of those arrested are reported to be Bangladeshi nationals.
Investigators say the group was in contact with operatives linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence and extremist networks in Bangladesh, and may have been preparing an attack using improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Security alerts have been issued around the Red Fort, with forces stepping up surveillance around religious sites and high-traffic areas.
The arrests follow an explosion reported on 10 November 2025 near the Red Fort and are described by authorities as linked to an alleged attempt to retaliate for a 6 February blast in Islamabad.
Investigations are ongoing, with Indian security agencies analyzing the suspects’ external links and the broader scope of the alleged network.
