Pakistani Airstrike Kills 8 Schoolchildren in Eastern Afghanistan

DID Press: Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education under the Taliban administration says eight schoolchildren—five boys and three girls—were killed in a Pakistani airstrike on Behsud district in Nangarhar.

The ministry added that a separate strike in Barmal district of Paktika left another student wounded, though the condition of the injured child remains unclear.

Nangarhar, a border province with Pakistan, has repeatedly borne the brunt of cross-border insecurity in recent years. Independent sources have not yet confirmed the reported attacks.
