DID Press: Former adviser to the Pentagon has claimed that thousands of NATO personnel operating in Ukrainian military uniforms have been killed during the conflict, As the war in Ukraine enters its fifth year.

According to Western sources, NATO member states have pursued two main tracks in confronting Russia: large-scale military assistance to Ukraine and sweeping sanctions against Moscow. Estimates put the total value of military and civilian aid delivered to Ukraine so far at between USD 200 billion and USD 300 billion.

Despite five years of fighting, there are no signs of an imminent ceasefire. Talks over two key issues—Western security guarantees for Kyiv and the future status of the Donbas—remain deadlocked, leaving prospects for ending the war uncertain.
