Cross-Border Drone, Rocket Attacks Between Afghanistan and Pakistan
DID Press: Official sources in both Afghanistan and Pakistan reported reciprocal military strikes between the two countries, in what officials describe as an unprecedented escalation that has reportedly included Pakistan’s capital.

According to BBC News, citing Pakistan’s Ministry of Information, several Pakistani cities — including Islamabad — were targeted in drone airstrikes. Pakistani authorities said the attacks were carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles.
Earlier, the Taliban Ministry of Defense had announced that it had struck military targets in parts of Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Taliban’s interior minister, warned that the consequences of any war would be “heavy” for Pakistan, adding that “maps will change” if orders are issued.
Local sources also reported a drone strike in Bannu district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Reports further indicate that Taliban forces launched extensive rocket attacks across the Durand Line from the Afghan provinces of Khost, Paktia, Nangarhar, and Kunar. Security sources said BM-21 rockets were used in the attacks, and clashes are reportedly ongoing.
