Military Watch: Intercepting Fattah-2 Hypersonic Missile “Nearly Impossible”
DID Press: US-based outlet Military Watch Magazine has reported that Iran has announced the use of its Fattah-2 hypersonic missile in an attack — a development the publication says could signal a significant enhancement of Iran’s deterrence capabilities and power projection, potentially reshaping the scope of future confrontations if deployed more widely.

According to the report, the Fattah-2 has an estimated range of approximately 1,400 kilometers. Its combination of extremely high speed and advanced maneuverability reportedly makes interception by existing air defense systems “nearly impossible.”
Military analysts cited in the report note that these characteristics allow the missile to alter its trajectory during different phases of flight, helping it evade radar detection and missile interception.
The publication describes the development as part of Iran’s broader push into hypersonic technologies — a trend that could affect the regional balance of power and pose new challenges for rival defense systems.
