DID Press: Spain’s PM, Pedro Sánchez, firmly rejected any involvement in military action against Iran, stating that Madrid will not participate in actions harmful to global stability or inconsistent with Spain’s values and interests.

Reflecting on past mistakes, Sánchez cited the Iraq War as an example of hasty decisions leading to “waves of insecurity, rising terrorism, and migration crises” that affected Europe.
He emphasized that Spain’s stance on international crises—including Ukraine and Gaza—is guided by three principles:
Respect for international law
Rejection of solutions based on military conflict
Avoiding repetition of past errors
Concluding his statement, Sánchez stressed clearly: “Spain’s position is clear: no to war.”
