Turkish Media: After Attacks on Iran, American Fighters Were ‘Hunted One by One’

DID Press: Akşam newspaper, one of the prominent Turkish media outlets, wrote in a report about recent regional developments that the U.S. and Israel thought Iran would retreat after attacks targeting Iran’s martyred leader and senior commanders, but Tehran, through its counteractions, has significantly increased the political and economic cost of this aggression.

The newspaper described the U.S. F-15 Strike Eagle fighters as ‘massacre fighters’ and added that these aircraft were ‘hunted one by one.’ Akşam further referred to reports suggesting that three American fighters were mistakenly shot down by Kuwait’s air defense systems.

In another part of the report, this Turkish media outlet published a list of “critical targets attacked by Iran” and alongside it placed images of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu; in one image, the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime is seen wiping sweat from his forehead, in a way interpreted as indicating concern and pressure resulting from recent developments.

This report reflects the perspective of part of the Turkish media on the consequences of the recent conflict and its impact on the balance of power in the region, and shows that Iran’s response, contrary to the initial calculations of the United States and Israel, has brought the political and security situation into a new phase.
