2nd EU Humanitarian Airlift Delivers Therapeutic Nutrition Aid to Kabul
DID Press: The second shipment of nutritional aid delivered through the European Union’s humanitarian air bridge has arrived in Kabul, aimed at addressing the growing crisis of severe child malnutrition in Afghanistan.

According to UNICEF, the assistance includes critical therapeutic nutrition supplies that will be used to treat children suffering from acute malnutrition across the country. The flight is part of a series of three humanitarian airlifts funded by the European Union.
Reports indicate that around 180 tons of specialized therapeutic food have so far been transported to Afghanistan. In the first shipment, approximately 20,000 packages of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) were delivered to support children affected by severe malnutrition.
UNICEF has warned that shortages of therapeutic nutrition supplies remain a serious challenge in treating thousands of children with acute malnutrition in Afghanistan. Additional shipments are expected to arrive in the coming days through the humanitarian air bridge.
