Taliban Claim Heavy Pakistani Losses Amid Intensifying Durand Line Clashes
DID Press: Border clashes between Taliban government forces and Pakistani militias have intensified along the disputed Durand Line since Thursday evening, reportedly leading to the capture of several Pakistani posts in the Shorabak district of Kandahar Province and the launch of new attacks in Lal Pur district of Nangarhar Province.

According to the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense, a major Pakistani post was seized and later destroyed during the latest phase of an operation dubbed “Radd al-Zulm.” Taliban officials said dozens of Pakistani militia members were killed during the fighting.
Reports from Kandahar indicate that clashes began in Shorabak district along the disputed border and quickly escalated. Taliban sources claim their forces have taken control of two Pakistani outposts in the frontier areas of the district.
Meanwhile, reports from Nangarhar suggest that Taliban fighters have launched attacks on Pakistani militia positions in the “Rina” and “Parcho” areas of Lal Pur district. During the assaults, Taliban forces reportedly captured several types of heavy equipment, including two heavy machine guns, two mortar systems, a heavy weapon, and two night-vision devices.
In its latest statement, the Taliban Ministry of Defense said that a large Pakistani militia post in Shorabak was seized and subsequently destroyed with explosives as part of the ongoing “Radd al-Zulm” operation. The statement claimed that 30 Pakistani militia members were killed in the operation, including 20 who had been dispatched to reinforce the position.
Earlier reports had indicated that at least 15 Pakistani militia members were killed during the initial stages of the clashes. Pakistani authorities have not yet issued an official response to the claims.
