Taliban Arrest Vendors Over Price Gouging and Hoarding
DID Press: Maulvi Saif-ur-Islam Khyber, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, announced that several vendors across multiple provinces, including Kabul, have been arrested for arbitrarily setting prices and hoarding food supplies.

Authorities have also sealed the businesses, shops, and stalls linked to the accused traders.
Khyber emphasized that market monitoring will continue to prevent price manipulation, hoarding, and violations of official pricing regulations, with legal action to be taken against offenders.
