According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the two officials focused on prospects for reducing military and political tensions between Kabul and Islamabad.
Lavrov emphasized the importance of resolving disputes through political and diplomatic channels in order to normalize relations between the two neighboring countries.
In another part of the call, the two sides discussed the consequences of the recent attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran, exchanging views on the destabilizing effects such actions could have on the broader region.
