Civilian Casualties Reported in Border Clashes Across Eastern Afghanistan

DID Press: Local sources report that Pakistani militias targeted civilian homes and markets over the past 24 hours on Friday in the Chamkani and Patan districts of Paktia Province, causing casualties and significant damage.

According to Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban administration, one civilian was killed and another wounded in the attacks. He added that 10 houses, 14 shops, two marketplaces, and a mosque were destroyed.

Fitrat said villages and markets in the Barmal and Shkin districts of Paktika Province were also struck, leaving two civilians dead and causing the destruction of six homes and several shops.

In addition, in the Ali Sher and Terezai districts of Khost Province, one civilian was killed and two others were injured, according to the statement.
