Balkh Clerics Honor Martyred Leader, Call His Path One of Awakening for Oppressed

DID Press: A large-scale memorial ceremony for the late Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei was held at the Sultaniyah Grand Mosque, drawing scholars, religious leaders, and diverse segments of the public.

Participants mourned the leader’s passing while emphasizing his key role in supporting mujahideen and the oppressed people of Afghanistan. The event was one of the largest religious and political gatherings in Mazar-e-Sharif in response to recent developments.

Shiite scholars and speakers described Ayatullah Khamenei as not only a leader of Iran but also a vigilant guardian of the Islamic Ummah against global oppression. They highlighted his unwavering support for Afghan refugees and citizens during the country’s most difficult periods, calling it a contribution that will remain in historical memory.

Attendees, chanting slogans such as “Mission of the Ummah,” framed his martyrdom as the start of a new movement in the resistance front, one expected to foster greater unity among regional nations.
