India Condemns Pakistan Airstrikes in Afghanistan as Violation of Intl Law

DID Press: India has strongly condemned recent airstrikes by Pakistan inside Afghanistan, calling them a clear violation of international law, the UN Charter, and the principle of national sovereignty.

Pratnaneeni Harish, India’s permanent representative to the United Nations, described the strikes as an example of “blatant hypocrisy.” He said Islamabad frequently speaks about respecting international law and Islamic unity, yet carried out air attacks on civilians during the holy month of Ramadan.

Harish stressed that such actions contradict humanitarian principles and risk further destabilizing the region. He added that New Delhi consistently supports respect for national sovereignty and the diplomatic resolution of disputes.

The Indian envoy reaffirmed that India fully supports Afghanistan’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence, urging all countries to respect international borders and legal norms.

The remarks come amid rising tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan following recent strikes in border areas, which have drawn growing regional and international reactions.
