Taliban FM Urges Pakistan to Reconsider Afghanistan Policy
DID Press: Amir Khan Muttaqi, foreign minister of the Taliban, has called on Pakistan to reassess its policies toward Afghanistan, criticizing Islamabad’s recent military approach.

Speaking during an iftar hosted by the Afghan Foreign Ministry in Kabul and in a separate meeting with foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations, Muttaqi warned that the use of force to impose demands would only deepen resistance among the Afghan population.
He said that the “generals of Pakistan’s military regime” were pursuing misguided policies that risk undermining regional security, adding that Afghans historically have never bowed to coercion and remain ready to defend their independence and freedom.
In another session with diplomats, Muttaqi condemned Pakistan’s military actions, stating that Afghanistan’s recent measures were solely aimed at defending its airspace and national sovereignty. He added that the Taliban administration does not seek to violate the sovereignty of any country and supports relations based on mutual respect.
