DID Press: Farzad Mansouri, a migrant member of the Afghanistan national taekwondo team, won a gold medal at the 2026 US Open Taekwondo Championships (G2) in the United States.
Mansouri secured the title after defeating four strong opponents from the United States (two athletes), Mexico, and Argentina on his path to the championship podium.
The victory marks a significant international achievement for Afghanistan’s taekwondo, highlighting the growing presence of Afghan athletes in global competitions.
