DID Press: Following a recent US and Israel airstrike on an Iranian bank, the spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters warned of retaliatory measures targeting economic centers and banks linked to the U.S. and Israel in the region. The official urged civilians to avoid areas within a one-kilometer radius of such banks.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a phone call with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, emphasized that Iran has no intention of escalating conflicts with neighboring countries. He stated that any operations would strictly target bases used to launch attacks against Iranian territory, invoking the principle of self-defense.
Pezeshkian also called on the international community and global organizations to address the root causes of the recent military aggression against Iran, warning that ignoring these issues could further destabilize global security and order.
