Reuters: Divisions Emerge Inside White House Over How to End Iran War

DID Press: Internal disagreements within the White House are influencing shifting positions by US President Donald Trump on the ongoing conflict with Iran, according to a report by Reuters citing a Trump adviser.

The adviser said Trump’s team is currently debating when and how the war could be concluded in a way that would allow the administration to declare a “victory,” even as the conflict in the region continues to expand.

The source added that some officials within the administration have warned the president that rising fuel prices could carry serious political consequences for Washington. At the same time, hardline figures in the administration are reportedly pressing for continued military strikes against Iran.

Another informed source said Trump has emphasized in internal meetings that he does not intend to withdraw from the war “prematurely,” believing operations should continue until a decisive outcome is achieved. However, some of his aides have recommended designing an exit strategy that would still allow the administration to present the outcome as a victory.

The report comes as tensions remain high across the region, with the conflict exerting pressure not only on military fronts but also on global markets and diplomatic relations.
