Belarus President: Attacks on Iran Failed to Achieve Their Goals

DID Press: Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that those behind attacks on Iran did not succeed in achieving their objectives.

Referring to Israel’s bombing of Gaza, he added, “Children… everything is in chaos, no living being remains.”

Lukashenko told Belta news agency: “Iran is a large country with numerous mountain ranges. They have dug many tunnels and concealed their equipment. No weapon can reach them. The Israelis should have assessed this situation and explained it to [US President Donald Trump]: this is the situation, what should we do? They came, armed themselves, and attacked… what was the result? Nothing. I know what they intended—four to five goals, from toppling the government to bombing nuclear facilities and neutralizing the nuclear program. None succeeded.”

He continued: “Our position is humanitarian. We were under sanctions with them, and still are. We act for clear reasons, and we have formed our stance toward Iran based on this—a humane and fair position.”
