Iran Asserts Sovereignty in Call with UK Counterpart, Calls for Halt to Attacks

DID Press: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held a phone conversation with his British counterpart, emphasizing Tehran’s right to defend its sovereignty and independence.

Araqchi stated that normalizing the situation requires an immediate cessation of attacks, coupled with guarantees to prevent future aggressions. He also noted that London’s provision of military bases to the United States constitutes indirect participation in the ongoing military operations.

The Iranian official reiterated that the country reserves its inherent right to safeguard its territorial integrity while seeking a diplomatic path to stabilize regional tensions.
