DID Press: A major fire broke out at an auto parts manufacturing plant in the city of Daejeon on Friday, leaving at least 10 people dead and 59 others injured, while emergency crews continue searching for four missing workers.

According to reports from Yonhap News Agency, approximately 170 people were inside the factory at the time the blaze erupted. Authorities deployed around 240 firefighters and rescue personnel, supported by 70 units of equipment, to contain the flames and conduct rescue operations.
Officials stated that inspected sections of the damaged buildings will be demolished to allow search teams to continue efforts to locate the missing workers and ensure site safety. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The incident is being described as one of the deadliest recent industrial fires in South Korea, prompting swift responses from local and national authorities.
