Humanitarian Aid Reaches 500,000 People Across Afghanistan Over Past Year

DID Press: National Disaster Preparedness Authority of Afghanistan reported that over the past year, humanitarian assistance has been provided to approximately 500,000 vulnerable individuals nationwide.

Officials said the aid included food supplies, temporary shelters, cash assistance, and other essential items, reaching families affected by natural disasters and challenging economic conditions.

The distribution efforts primarily targeted high-risk provinces prone to floods, earthquakes, and droughts, with a focus on ensuring transparency and systematic delivery of resources.

The Authority emphasized that despite these measures, many citizens still require urgent assistance and called on national and international organizations to expand support.

This initiative comes amid ongoing economic hardship and recurring natural disasters, which continue to put pressure on households across the country.
